Redmond, WA and surrounding areas
We rolled over to Sea-Town a few times to capture the off the chart abilities of Chris Craig, Nick Jones, and Brandon Robbins. On their own mission to rally a session at Koppert Lake, Phil Chadwick and Ward White joined us for the first trip over. After battling the traffic of the Seattle traffic and arriving a few hours late the morning consisted of Chris Craig slamming down a huge switch tantrum to revert and Jones extending an S-Spin out rolling up onto the back of the chase boat. Brandon had to peace out back to work after a run but there will be more time. When battling the Northwest weather you don't always win and that was the case with major T-storms hanging over head all morning. We pulled out and cleaned up the boat with hopes of taking down the storm with patience but that wasn't the case. Jones, from synapse to synapse conjured up a plan to attack Bow Lake for a mean night session under the recently constructed stadium lights and after passing the idea by Micah and the Bow Lake crew it was a go. Phil, Ward and myself made a long awaited stop at Greg Young's awesome pad. Anyone that isn't familiar with Greg, he doesn't only hold the title of kindest person ever, he is the Founder/Owner of Northwest Riders Clothing and runs the NWR Clinic Tour that travels around the entire Northwest with talented riders and coaches. Greg as usual brought the pain with his wonderful hospitality and open arms kicking down shirts, hoodies and Red Bull for the long night ahead. That night set has a notch marked in the book of "Times" the A-Frame and Flatbar will never be the same, check out the footage Dec. 9th at the premier in Spokane, WA @ The Met. Before we knew it the sun was up and we were off to the first contest of the year for Northwest Sessions south of Bellingham at Lake Samish. The day was long and hot but ending well for the Nxstep crew. Ward came away with second in Advance, in the pro division Chris nailed first and Nick placed third. From there we said our thank yous and good buys and headed for The Can. Our second visit was the last leg of the road tripping month of July. The Nxstep truck made it's way from Bend, OR after one of the best filming sets yet leaving Alex Scagliotti and Robby Carter to practice for the Pro Tour. Words can't describe Mr. Mike Craig and Mrs. Tina Craig, it was scorching hot during the heat wave of 06' and they put us up in their RV, the only place there that had AC. The evening set on Lake Smallish was rough with everyone within a 100 mile radius migrating directly to where we were at. Chris had just changed board companies from Hyperlite to O'Brien and was loving his knew Natural. He stomped a solid run and was smiling with joy ready for the The Bakes NWI Double Up Comp on Lake Washington the next day. The next morning we were up and rolling, practicing Dubs and in between squeezing in some tube footage. Off to the contest to bake in the sun and when it was all said and done Jones earned Second place and Best Trick of the day representing once again for Nxstep Films. Thanks to the Craig family, Jones, Brandon, Ian and Sandie White, Casey for chase once again, the entire Bow Lake crew, Greg young and Northwest Riders Clothing, Zack with Wakeboard Northwest, Matty V for the Chuck Norris jokes, and everyone else along the way.

Back Home!!!
"Who's driving? Rodie Sodie? What time is it? Where are we? Reststop?" and "How much for gas this time?" Lingo commonly heard last month when around Adam and Bruce. On the road for over three weeks, Nxstep Films captured the most action packed Wakeboarding the Northwest has pumped out this year! From Heli shots, Pool-to-Pool-sliders, Double Up Contests, Rock drops, Grinchen' times in Potholes, 60' feet plus of Fun Box beyond belief, and so many more mind boggling moments we'll share later so stay close and get ready to see what really went down. The Wakeboarding scene as a hole throughout the Northwest is finally coming together and all pages. These are a few of the riders we were fortunate enough to work with and you should keep your eyes and ears open for; Ty Udell, Ian Udell, Rick Knott, Nick Cox, Robby Carter, Alex Scagliotti, Phil Chadwick, Chris Craig, Nick Jones, Ward White, Brandon Robbins, Josh VanDeVanter, Brian Howard, and Jason Jerkier.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible: Ty Udell, Ian Udell, Page Udell, Richard Udell, Jim Bob, Dane, Alex Scagliotti, Randy Scagliotti, Robby Carter, Bob Carter, Chris Craig, Mike Craig, Tina Craig, Nick Jones, Josh VanDeVanter, Ward White, Lisa, Phil Chadwick, Brian Howard, Cadence Howard, Rick Knott, Matt and Amy, Jeremy and Lisa, Alex, Mary and of course Nick from Imgx, Greg Young Northwest Riders and everyone else we seen, met, stayed with, drank with, camped with, shared fun times with awesome memories.
Phuck the Asshole that lifted our tri-pod!

Potholes - Moses Lake, WA
The vote is unanimous and the new official name of "Potholes" is "Humid bug infested algae bath water." For those who have thought of venturing out to this zone let the name hint at the truly enjoyable time you will receive. With all that out of the way, Nxstep Films and IMGX broke through all boundaries, limits, and laws to create a magical outing. When left pondering, with a Grinch, a few feet of Trex, hand screw drivers, chain-saw, hammer, nails and rope and handle ingenuity over powered all the elements. Rick Knott rallied through the dunes of dust to uncover the last piece of the puzzle two 2x6s stuck together with screws. Though the nay sayers were in there towers the seed was planted as Phil, Adam, Nick, and Matt went to work. Mr. Phil "Chain-saw Charley" Chadwick spotted a tree with a perfect up to flat limb around 20' that had potential to be the main structure of the rail to be made. There is footage form the creation of the rail, but the natural ability that Phil possesses prevents us from showing do to FCC regulations. We braced off what was needed, unscrewed the 2x6s by hand, nailed them down to the limb and finished off with everyones favorite frosting Trex. The beast was scientifically tested by the usual walk up and down with the occasional jump and shake then loaded into a rig and hauled down to a motor free wildlife sanctuary zone. We lucked out when the park ranger visited the scene of the crime total amount of fines possible with motorcycles, cars, boats, and RVs being properly licensed and tagged topped over $4,000, final out come $107 for untagged bike.
The Shred Zone was created with public seating and donkey balls to entertain. The crowd was intense with Scott Roslyn leading the way and Adam Ingraham and Alex MacKay dominating DB all day ending 8-0. The riding was unbelievable and everyone walked away cut, scrape and scratch free. Rick Knott, Ward White, Brian Howard, Nick Cox, Phil Chadwick, and Jeremy Demming represented the Northwest's first Backwoods Grinch Rail Jam session.
After a long day of fun in the sun it was time to relax on the "Living-room," for those of you who were not able to attend 4th Street Expo, this thing is huge! A gigantic blow up matters with velcro on top to hold down a chair, couch and a table/cooler. With the "Living-room" loaded down with 6-8 people at 40-mph all white knuckle grips only laughs are able to describe what went on.
These were days of extreme conditions with extreme characters roaming free. The trip was a success and every night was soothing with a fire and the tunes of Alex MacKay and Jeremy Demming. Thanks to everyone who shared this experience.

Bend, OR / Lake Shasta
Round Two: We met up with Alex and Randy Scagliotti in their hometown of Bend, OR to embark on a mission of excitement and a little foolishness. Alex serves one of the best pizzas we'd ever tasted. We met up with Robby Carter the next day at Lake Shasta in northern California to spend some time in the rain warming up for the first INT comp of the season. It was a great lake to ride at and we got some great footage for the show. Once Shasta started to fill up it was time for us to drop in on the INT comp, they had a good turnout and the venue was pretty cool. We got some killer angles with the cameras and some great footage of our guys doin' what they do. Robby had a great run and ended up in 3rd place but Alex got the better of him this time earning 1st place. We had a great time hanging out with Alex, Randy, Robby, and thanks to Hobe and "Carter" for the extra boat. Special thanks to Northwest Riders Clothing. Bruce
Orlando, FL
Our first venture of the year was to Florida to rally around the Orlando area to begin Nxstep Films Wakeboarding projects! It was the coldest that week had ever been throughout Orlando's history but a warm retreat for us. We filmed the boys: Phil Chadwick, Alex Scagliotti, Robby Carter, Ward White, Josh VanDeVanter, Nick Jones, and Ricky Krieger as they got their water legs back under them. Check out the pict gallery, we will be updating it frequently. Also check out the "making of series" on Comcast On Demand under get local, "The Handle" is the name of the project. If "The Handle" is not available in your area wait it out, it's only a matter of time. Thanks for checking in, drop us a line and let us know what you think. Special thanks to IMGX, Northwest Riders Clothing, and Darin and Heather Shapiro. If you're searching for a Wakeboard camp Ride the Spot is top notch. World class coaching from Darin himself with awesome accommodations, find more information at www.ridethespot.net.
